Only moments ago these little rabbit men were frolicking about this serene treeline with their families, ignorant to the very idea that life could contain strife or struggle. These creatures were as happy and carefree as they were cute, so of course such animals would be completely oblivious to the white form oozing from the darkest crevice of the woods. Once the beast was upon them, the eldest males (as if instinctively) jumped in front of the danger and sacrificed themselves as a diversion while the females fled with the children. The horrifying, white eel unraveled itself like a toppled obese cat suddenly standing up to reveal limbs. The three heroes expected to die right then and there, but sadly nature is not so kind; it cares not for nobility or sacrifice.
